We are looking for a Team Leader Senior Graphic Designer to run a multidisciplinary team of 15 experts in graphic design, web design and content production at the European Investment Bank, supporting the institution in delivering key-messages and outstanding communications to broader audiences.

About this position

This is a full-time position at EIB headquarters in Luxembourg. You have extensive experience in running teams, leading professionals under tight coordination. You are customed-oriented, being at ease working with senior managers.You know all the challenges of implementing and developing branding including new tendences and techniques.

We are looking for candidates with a Degree in Graphic Design, Branding, Creative Arts or similar areas with at least ten years of relevant professional experience in delivering graphic materials.

The challenge

- Support the head of the Graphic Design Unit in the coordination of the day-to-day operations
- Manage the projects to ensure they are completed to the highest standard of quality
- Communicate with the senior management team
- Product design and typesetting based on standard formats and templates
- Design and illustration of publications
- Typesetting and layout of text and graphics
- Digital files, including web-optimised PDFs and print-optimised PDFs
- Package folders with InDesign files and all project components
- Design and layout of PowerPoint presentations
- Graphics for physical and digital production, including infographics, interactive animations and illustrations (also 3-dimensional illustration)
- Data visualisation
- Videos with and without motion graphics
- Visual identities.

Skills required

From the technical point of view, you need to master Adobe Creative Suite, including After Effects, having sound knowledge of :
- Pre-print, print and post-print techniques
- Accessibilty requirements in print and digital design
- Web design, web technical needs and CSS
- UX/UI principles.
Organisation, communication and soft skills:
- Creativity
- Team player
- Organisational skills and ability to work under pressure
- Very good knowledge of the rules of typography
- Knowledge of printing techniques
- Understanding of the purpose of communication
- Understanding of the working environment and especially the banking sector
- Customer-oriented approach
- Full working proficiency in English, accredited with at least level C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (or equivalent).
