EIB - Press and Public Relations - EU and/or Luxembourg

We are looking for Press and Public Relations Experts covering the EU and/or the Luxembourguish media landscape to develop and implement press strategies, including teh production of press releases, briefings and press conferences, and establish permanent relations with journalists and media to support the European Investment Bank in reaching EU citizens, stakeholders and a large variety of audiences accros Europe and Luxembourg.

About this position

Your goal is to support the European Investment Bank in its outreach accross european counties and/or Luxembourg, consolidating media relations and content for press and media dissemination (news, interviews, reportages, event coverage...).

We are looking for candidates with a Degree in Journalism, Publoic Relations or related field, with at least five years of relevant experience in developping media relations and delivering content to be published and disseminated officially. EU and/or luxembourguish institutional experience in press relations or public relations departments could be an asset.

The challenge

- Develop and implement press strategies, including press releases, briefings and press conferences
- Establish relationships with key journalists and media outlets (EU and/or Luxembourg) and ability to expand media networks strategically
- Strong understanding of media protocols, interview preparation, and spokesperson support (including key messages and Q&A lines)
- Manage issues and reactive communications, including handling sensitive or crisis-related media inquiries
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure coherent, timely and accurate information flows to the media
- Use media monitoring tools and the ability to analyse coverage and propose strategic adjustments based on insights

Skills required

- Full working proficiency in English, accredited with at least level C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (or equivalent) and in the case of Luxembourg, you will need also Luxembourguish and French or German ).

- Organisational skills and ability to work under pressure
- Very good knowledge of the rules of typography
- Knowledge of printing techniques
- Understanding of the purpose of communication
- Understanding of the working environment and especially the banking sector
- Customer-oriented approach
