EIB - Audiovisual, IT and Production Technician
We are looking for experienced Media technicians to manage technical equipement, prepare setups and operations, and provide post-production and IT audio-visual technical support to the EIB in its communication activities, both at the EIb and abroad.
About this position
This is a full-time position at EIB headquarters in Luxembourg. Your main task is to draft, finalise, gain approval and post platform‑specific copy for X, LinkedIn, Instagram, Threads, Facebook and other social platforms for the European Investment Bank.
We are looking for candidates with a Degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Media or related field, with at least two years of relevant experience in social media content drafting, posting and dissemination.
Experience working on EU projects or campaigns is a clear winning point.
The challenge
- Draft & copywrite for X, LinkedIn, Instagram, Threads, Facebook and other social platforms on behalf of a European Institution, respecting guidelines and predifined communication strategies.
- Produce visuals using templates and on‑brand layouts.
- Shoot and edit quick videos directly on your phone for reels, shorts and stories.
- Prepare posts for major events, announcements and ongoing campaigns.
- Develop ideas for content formats, visuals and storytelling angles.
- Adapt institutional priorities into engaging, audience‑focused posts.
- Propose new video, carousel and data‑led formats following trends.
- Work with media, editorial, audio-visual and design teams to confirm facts and secure necessary approvals.
- Coordinate with country and thematic media officers when content refers to local events or sector priorities.
- When required, work on content for public figure social accounts, with an understanding of their tone and approach.
- Ensure copy complies with brand, tone and security considerations outlined in EIB guidance.
- Work on community management, monitoring comments and identify issues requiring escalation.
- Track daily performance: reach, engagement, retention, clicks and audience trends.
You will ensure all content meets high editorial standards, key-messaging consistency, and accuracy across platforms.
Skills required
From the technical point of view, you will need:
- Key experience in social media campaigns organization, including tools such as Metricool, SocialBakers or similar social media and digital content management platforms.
- Familiarity with SEO, HTML/CSS, and web analytics tools, such as Piwik.
- Experience with CMS platforms, such as WordPress and Drupal.
- Experience with graphic design tools (e.g. Adobe Photoshop, Canva).
- Knowledge of UX/UI principles.
Organisation, communication and soft skills:
- Engaging, clear, concise writing.
- Creativity and ability to turn complex topics into simple messages.
- Organisational skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Understanding of communication purpose and EIB institutional context.
- Customer-oriented approach.
- Attention to detail and strong judgement on reputational risks.
- Ability to analyse performance and adjust content accordingly.
- Full working proficiency in English, accredited with at least level C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (or equivalent).
