EIB - Editorial Specialist
We are looking for Editors to develop content for digital and print publications covering a variety of technical subjects, such as economics, infrastructure, technology, renewable energy and others. You should possess a strong portfolio of published work demonstrating their writing, editing, and storytelling abilities in English. Meticulous attention to detail and excellent communication skills are essential.
About this position
This is a full-time position at EIB headquarters in Luxembourg. We are looking for candidates with proven experience in an editorial role, with a Degree in Communications, Journalism, Economics, Public Policy or related field, with at least four years of relevant experience in working in online or print media, magazines, trade publications, publishing. Exprience producing audio and/or audio-visual content will be highly valued.
The challenge
You are facing several challenges in the following areas:
- Project management: Overseeing the production of digital and online publications from conception to realisation, working with diverse groups throughout an international organisation.
- Editing and writing: Drafting and editing content for communications materials, including publications, speeches, op-eds, articles, social media posts, web pages and stories for the EIB blog.
- Storytelling: Identifying companies, people or technologies whose stories can be told in a compelling way for digital and print content.
You will ensure all content meets high editorial standards, key-messaging consistency, and accuracy across platforms. Experience working on EU projects or campaigns is a must.
Skills required
From the technical point of view, you are:
- Able to use AI to produce content quickly and accurately, and most specially content to be incldued in marketing materials.
- At ease with technical content, mastering the rewriting and review or drafted technical content in a way that is accessible to a more general readership.
Among your technical and soft skills, you have:
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Team spirit.
- Organisational and time management skills.
- Full working proficiency in English, accredited with at least level C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (or equivalent).
