QlikSense Developer at European Institutions

There is an opportunity for a Qlik Sense Developer to join the Erasmus program team to help them delivering modern, scalable, and fully integrated data analytics and statistical services consolidating all relevant data available within DG EAC information systems.

The challenge

• Provision of expert advice and assistance, technology watch, evaluation work, architectural
considerations, applicable standards, solution patterns and best practices in a specific area of data analytics technology (business intelligence, data discovery and data analytics using Qlik, data science using R);
• Management of development infrastructure (e.g. application servers) based on Qlik architecture;
• Provision of quality plans, quality assessments, quality control tests, evaluations and service agreements associated with data analytics solutions, services or projects;
• Elaboration of functional and non-functional requirements and business case analysis related to data analytics, review of information systems and data architectures to enable high quality and high performance data analytics;
• Provision of solutions (including proof of concepts) in relation with data analytics systems, including by assisting business owners in defining performance dashboards and gathering business requirements for BI and analytics, development of reports and analytical dashboards, data analysis and modelling, definition of metrics and key indicators, design and development of reporting applications and BI solutions;
• Participation in meetings with business and project teams across different parts of the organisation.

Skills required

• Deep knowledge in one or more domains required for the function (data analytics, data management, data quality control, data science, knowledge of Qlik technologies including data analytics servers administration, requirements analysis, design of BI solutions);
• Capability to write clear and structured technical documents;
• Ability to participate in multi-lingual meetings (English and French), very good communication skills;
• Capability of working in an international/multicultural environment. Ability to apply high quality standards;
• Able to cope with the needs of multi-language site deployment;
• Able to use the office automation tools used in the Commission (MS-Office, Office 365);
• Good knowledge of Confluence Wiki and Jira;

Salary and Conditions

Location: Brussels, BE

Salary up to: 550€/day

Worksite type: On-site and Remote

Contract type: Freelancer or Employee

Client: European Commission

Other points of the offer

You will allowed to work remotely and you will be asked to join meetings in Brussels from time to time when needed and booked in advance (2x per month).
The salary/daily rates presented are the maximum as a freelancer when meeting all criteria.
Belgium permanent employment contract is also one option, with salaries around 3500-3800€ (value after all taxes), when meeting all criteria.
