Jive Back-end Developer at EEAS
There is an urgent need for a Jive Back-end Developer at EEAS. Are you the one?
European External Action Service (EEAS) is the diplomatic service that combines the foreign and defence ministry of the European Union (EU).
The challenge
EEAS Informatics Division needs a Jive Back-end Developer to assist them in the following tasks:
o Involvement in the Technical Operations of Jive platforms
o Liaising with the Aurea Support Level 2 to provide them with the technical information they need to solve issues (e.g. logs, HAR files etc)
o Helping the FED with the back-end installation of Jive Tiles and Add-ons.
o Maintaining and Upgrading the tiles and add-ons across all the platforms
Skills required
- Bacherol degree
- Jive. Ability to design, develop and review software components build using Jive
- Knowledge in databases (MySQL, Oracle)
- Knowledge in PHP (specifically Drupal), HTML, CSS, JavaScript would be an asset
- Ability to respect deadlines and budget allocated and respect instructions. Respect of development standards and best practices
- Flexibility (tasks can be varied), enthusiasm and willingness to learn (new techniques /new technologies)
- European nationality is mandatory (EU 27 - a country member of the European Union)
Salary and Conditions
Location: Brussels, BE
Salary up to: 320€/day
Worksite type: On-site and Remote
Contract type: Freelancer or Employee

Other points of the offer
The salary/daily rates presented are the maximum as a freelancer when meeting all criteria.
The daily rate/salary depends on the time of experience based on the following formula.
L2 - up to €280/day (between 1,5 and 3 years of experience)
L3 - up to €320/day (between 3 and 8 years of experience)
Belgium permanent employment contract is also one option (around 2000-2500€ net).
Important note:
You will be hired by an IT consulting company that has a contract with the EEAS, you won't have any contract with the EEAS.
