EU Energy Efficiency Specialist
Work as senior expert in Energy Efficiency at the European Investment Bank Advisory Services assessing EU cities plans under the perspective of EU regulation, energy efficiency standards (ISO 50001 / Energy Audit EN 16247, etc.).
About this position
The successful candidate will assess and evaluate Sustainable Energy Action Plans of EU cities, including technical and economical energy efficiency projects and measures under a cost-benefit perspective.
The challenge
The expert will deploy his/her knowledge in delivering advisory services on energy efficiency projects (e.g. building renovations, street lighting, district heating, etc.) to help the EIB in supporting EU cities to improve energy efficiency planification in the coming years, and find the right funding for it.
Skills required
At least 10 years’ experience in the sector of Energy Efficiency (minimum requirement) with a strong focus on building-level and municipal-level projects.
At least 5 years’ experience on delivery advisory on energy efficiency projects (building renovations, street lighting, district heating etc.) (Minimum requirement).
Preferably at the municipal level.
Specific knowledge and experience in the preparation and review of energy audits, energy efficiency measures and feasibility studies, integration of renewable energy sources in buildings, street lighting projects and district heating systems. Solid knowledge of EU sector regulation (e.g. EPBD, EED) and energy efficiency standards (Energy Managements systems ISO 50001, Energy Audit EN 16247 etc.) as demonstrated by, preferably, 3 projects.
Prior experience in assessing technical and economical different energy efficiency projects and measures also under a cost-benefit perspective (preferably including Energy Performance Contracts with ESCOs, PPP etc.) Preferably as demonstrated by specific role and responsibilities in 3 projects in the past 5 years.
Experience in the reviewing/analysing municipality strategies and targets, feasibility studies and decarbonization plans, targets as well as implementation of Sustainable Energy Action Plans (SEAP) as demonstrated by specific role and responsibilities is desirable.
Experience in subsidies schemes, grants, structural fund, project finance at national and EU level of projects as demonstrated by specific role and responsibilities is desirable.
